6.8% Success Rate

When I started this blog, my intention was to take a photograph each day for a year and post it. My hopes were to grow in my photography skills by being intentional about practicing. I made it 25 days. That's a 6.8% success rate - probably a good success rate for home runs in baseball (Is it? I have no clue.), but not for a project I wanted to do daily for a year.

I think I would like to pick back up with this project, but maybe I need a new approach. When I attempted to take a photograph every day, I found that it didn't challenge me as much as I would have liked. On days when I had forgotten to take a photo, I would just grab the camera and take a random photo. I didn't put much thought into it. If I'm going to refine my photography skills, I need a more purposeful approach.

Do you have any suggestions? If you're a photographer, either a professional or a hobbyist, how have you refined your skills? I'd love to hear from you! Maybe you'll inspire me!
